This is a book about witches. The pictures

are showing thoughts and stories about

topics such as intuition, magic, nature,

spiritism and women‘s art. In six chapters

I connect stories, portraits and abstractions

in an intuitive yet narrative way, being

inspiried by the life and the paintings of

women such as Hilma af Klint and Emma

Kunz, and exploring the meaning of their

art for themselves and the judgement from

the surrounding society. This leads me to

the judgement of female non-reproductive

work and its story, which is strongly connected

to the figure of the witch. What is a

witch? And what meaning does she have

today?
